Director of Marketing & Communications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage marketing and communications plan.
  • Develop marketing budgets and submit to Treasurer.
  • Coordinate all communications on behalf of the Club.
  • Develop media contacts to be used for publicity for the Club.
  • Develop strategy for club newsletters or other communications.
  • Establish and manage club website and social media outlets.
  • Update Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram daily or weekly as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with others in the Club to create consistent messaging for registration, fundraising, sponsorship, community relations, etc.

Qualifications:

Musts:

  • Daily email and internet access along with intermediate software skills including MS Office products such as Excel and Powerpoint, web based application and database management.
  • Knowledge of effective communication methods and social networking sites.

Preferred:

  • Georgetown Resident or frequently in Georgetown.
  • Schedule flexibility during the day.

Time Requirement:

  • 3-5 hours per week
  • Monthly Board meetings (2nd Mondays 6:30-8:30pm approximate).
  • Two half day Office on Duty shifts at GSA fields during Fall and Spring seasons.
  • Periodically volunteer for other activities and programs as necessary.
