Vice President of Recreational (U4-U18)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Formation: Determine appropriate number of teams and players per team for each age group.
Age Group Coordinators: If possible, recruit and identify a commissioner or coordinator for each age group (U5, U6, U7, U8 and U9-U18). Ensure that commissioners/coordinators create teams appropriately and on time and communicate information to coaches: rosters with parent contact information, uniform distribution details, practice day/time and location, game schedules, season guidelines, rules of play and facilities use.
Recruit Coaches: Screen registrations for potential coaches. Solicit coaches (via phone or email)and provide description of coaching duties.
Conduct Preseason Coaches’ Meeting: Set up meeting time/date/location
and communicate information to coaches on rosters, uniforms, season play, concession duty requirements, etc. Ensure information presented is up to date and comprehensive.
Provide Coaches Education: Work with Rec DOC to ensure coaches have appropriate level of training.
U4 Super Stars: Ensure staff is in place to run Saturday U4 Super Stars program. This program does not have teams or coaches, therefore staff must be there for the entire Saturday sessions.
U5-U8 Practice Leader: Ensure staff is in place to lead the warm ups for U5-U8 practices. Ensure expectations are clear regarding implementation of duties (amount of time to be on fields/available to coaches, methods to use to achieve objectives). Interact with leader regularly to address any issues or concerns.
Photos and Medals: Coordinate with volunteers or Club Admin to ensure photos are scheduled and communicated to coaches and participation trophies are ordered on time and distribution information is provided to coaches.
Uniforms: Choose appropriately priced Rec uniforms for each season. Ensure uniforms are ordered and distributed in a timely manner for the fall and spring seasons.

Daily email and internet access along with intermediate software skills including MS Office products such as Excel and Powerpoint, web based application and database management.
Good interpersonal skills and basic knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
GSA incorporates a variety of team play with a multitude of goals-in every sense of the word. From recreational to select teams to summer camps, GSA welcomes players, regardless of skill level, who wish to play and train.
