Discipline & Protest Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the protest and grievances procedures to promote and assure uniformity and consistency in the application of the rules and procedures of Georgetown Soccer Association.
Regulate and control unacceptable and unsporting behavior on the part of players, coaches/trainers, managers, referees, fans and supporters.
Adhere to the D&P rules and procedures of STYSA and CAYSA.
The STYSA Administrative Handbook shall be used as a guideline for all procedures and definitions.
Appoint a D&P Committee to assist in the disciplinary hearings, grievances, protests, etc.
Call timely disciplinary hearings to investigate allegations of misconduct and take action after proper hearing.
Can include suspension of a team, players, coaches/trainers, managers, referees, fans and supporters.
Appeals can be made to STYSA. Findings of a hearing and hearings are confidential with the exception of reporting the consequences to the proper authorities (player, parent, team manager, coach, director of coaching, GSA executive session, etc.)
Provide notification, agenda and procedures to all parties involved.
Team managers need to provide the D&P Officer with the team roster and reports of any cards issued during any game.

Daily email and internet access along with intermediate software skills including MS Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint, web based application and database management.
Ability to plan and participate in hearings and basic knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
GSA incorporates a variety of team play with a multitude of goals-in every sense of the word. From recreational to select teams to summer camps, GSA welcomes players, regardless of skill level, who wish to play and train.
