At GSA, we emphasize three important things for U5-U8 players
- FUN! Players will want to play more when they are enjoying themselves.
- DEVELOPMENT! We use a unique approach to teaching even the youngest players.
- SPORTSMENSHIP! A key value that need to be taught to all of our youth playing sports.
When kids are small, we play small-sided games. As they grow, we grow the number of players on the field accordingly. At GSA, young players have more fun because we have fewer kids on the field at one time. This results in more movement, more touches on the ball, more dribbling, more scoring and more FUN!
Each GSA U5-U8 team is led by a KidSafe Volunteer coach(s) who will coach once a week practices and Saturday games (8 games total).
GSA Volunteer Coaches are KidSafe and have been encouraged to use the MOJO youth soccer curriculum to keep players engaged and practices FUN with emphasis on touches and small sided games.
Each practice begins with age specific ball mastery touches designed for multiple touches on the ball.
Every player is required to bring a size #3 ball for their ball mastery touches.
