At GSA, we emphasize three important things for U5-U8 players

• FUN!  Players will want to play more when they are enjoying themselves.
• DEVELOPMENT!  We use a unique approach to teaching even the youngest players.
• SPORTSMENSHIP!  A key value that need to be taught to all of our youth playing sports.

When kids are small, we play small-sided games. As they grow, we grow the number of players on the field accordingly. At GSA, young players have more fun because we have fewer kids on the field at one time. This results in more movement, more touches on the ball, more dribbling, more scoring and more FUN!

Each GSA U5-U8 team is led by a KidSafe Volunteer coach(s) who will coach once a week practices and Saturday games (8 games total).

GSA Volunteer Coaches are KidSafe and have been encouraged to use the MOJO youth soccer curriculum to keep players engaged and practices FUN with emphasis on touches and small sided games.

Each practice begins with our Force Staff Technical Coach(s) who incorporate age specific ball touches for the first 15 min of every practice before they are released to their teams/coaches.

Every player is required to bring a size #3 ball (with name on it), water and shin guards.

Volunteer Hours

Families are required to perform volunteer hours to help support the club, details can be found here. A refundable Volunteer Deposit is collected at registration and refunded at the end of the year, after all volunteer hours are completed.

U5-U8

• One practice a week at GSA fields
• 8 games per season (all games are played at GSA)
• U5-U8 will receive a participation medal
• Practices begin the week of February 9, 2026
• Games begin February 21, 2026
• Every player receives a new uniform in the Fall Season
• Players are required to bring personal shin guards, cleats, soccer ball and water to ALL practices and games
